The 30-year-old slugger turned on a Chad Kuhl slider in the second inning and drove it 444 feet over the left-field wall into the second deck at PNC Park. Aguilar is now batting .265 with 12 home runs, 44 RBI, and 23 runs scored over 196 at-bats this season.

Nick Pivetta took his first loss of the season after allowing two runs in six innings and striking out nine against the Astros on Wednesday. Pivetta was probably due some bad luck in the run-support department after opening the season 6-0 with a 3.86 ERA. Though his ERA has climbed some of late, he seems like a better bet for the long haul than he did in an April in which much of his success was BABIP related. He's struck out 50 batters in 39 innings over his last seven starts.
