Are the host Brooklyn Nets going to notch a second win this season over the Atlanta Hawks this afternoon? Game time is 3PM ET.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Brooklyn is a 4.5-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 219 points.

Atlanta enters with a 4-17 overall record and 9-11-1 ATS after a 121-114 home loss to the Cavaliers. Brooklyn is 8-13 overall and 14-7 ATS following a 109-104 win at the Mavericks. The Nets won the first meeting this seaosn by a count of 116-104 on their home floor back on Oct. 22. Brooklyn is 3-2 straight up and 4-1 ATS in five meetings since the start of last season. The under is 4-0-1.

The Hawks were led by Dennis Schroder with 27 points and five assists in the loss to Cleveland. Ersan Ilyasova contributed 22 points, four steals and three rebounds off the bench. John Collins added 13 points, seven rebounds and two steals before departing with a leg injury in the fourth quarter. Atlanta led 67-63 at halftime, but were outscored 36-23 in the third quarter.

Demarre Carroll paced the Nets with 22 points and seven rebounds in the victory at Dallas. Spencer Dinwiddie recorded 19 points, six assists and three rebounds. Trevor Booker added 16 points, 10 rebounds and two assists. Brooklyn outscored the hosts 61-57 in the second half.

Atlanta is 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings. The under is 8-0-1 in the last nine meetings.

Brooklyn has been competitve more often than not as evidenced by its 14-7 record against the spread. At home and against a team it already beat handily at home, this should be a situation where the Nets cover a reasonable spread.
