Pelicans vs. Warriors NBA Prediction
The Pelicans and Warriors have a lot of scoring power and will meet in San Francsico on Friday night at 9:30 p.m. ET. Despite both sides' ability to score in bunches, is the under actually the safest bet tonight?
Game Snapshot
515 New Orleans Pelicans (+2.5) at 516 Golden State Warriors (-2.5); o/u 225.5
9:30 p.m. ET, Friday, May 14, 2021
Venue: Chase Center, San Francisco, CA
New Orleans Pelicans DFS Notes
Lonzo Ball (right thumb strain) will not play vs. the Warriors on Friday. The Pelicans have nothing to really play for at this point, so it could be a wrap for Ball's 2020-21 season. Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Kira Lewis Jr. benefit the most in Lonzo's absence.
Golden State Warriors DFS Notes
Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins could all be rested on Friday vs. the Pelicans. Coach Steve Kerr said none of those three practiced and were all a "little banged up." In other words, Kerr is debating whether to rest them and said the game between the Kings and Grizzlies will be a factor in terms of seeding. We'll keep a close eye on this as all three are listed as "questionable."
Pelicans vs. Warriors Game Prediction
The under is a perfect 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams and is 5-1 in the Pelicans' last six games overall. The under is also 4-1 in the Pelicans' last five games coming off a loss and cashed in nine of their last 10 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous contest. On the other side, the under is 6-0 in the Warriors' last six games when facing an opponent with a losing record, is 4-1 in their last five games played on Friday and is 7-2 in their last nine games playing on two days of rest.
NBA PREDICTION: PELICANS/WARRIORS UNDER 225.5
