Game Snapshot
503 New York Knicks (+8.5) at 504 Los Angeles Clippers (-8.5); o/u 216.5
3:30 p.m. ET, Sunday, May 9, 2021
Venue: STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, CA
New York Knicks DFS Notes
Immanuel Quickley (sprained left ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Clippers. Quickley appears poised to miss a second consecutive game, which will mean even more responsibility for fellow reserve Derrick Rose. Rose is rostered in 73% of Yahoo leagues, so he should not be available in in leagues that are actually competitive. Frank Ntilikina will pick up some rotation minutes, but he isn't worth using a roster spot on.
Los Angeles Clippers DFS Notes
Paul George led the way for the Clippers in an easy 118-94 win on Thursday night, totaling 24 points, seven boards, five assists, three triples and five turnovers in 31 minutes. This was a very well-balanced effort in one of the Clippers’ easiest wins of the season, with seven players scoring in double figures. The Clips have had their way with their neighbor Lakers franchise for the last couple of years now, and the game was only competitive for about a dozen minutes or so tonight. The Clippers are finally looking healthy, which coach Doc Rivers has mentioned is the most important thing heading into the playoffs. All-Star Kawhi Leonard was fairly quiet for his standards, dropping a 15/8/6 line on 4-of-9 from the floor in 30 minutes.
Knicks vs. Clippers Game Prediction
The over is 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams and is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams in Los Angeles. The over is also 5-1 in the Knicks’ last six road games and is 10-3 in their last 13 games overall. The over is also 7-0 in the Knicks’ last seven games versus a team with a winning record and has cashed in nine of their last 10 games when they’re an underdog.
NBA PREDICTION: KNICKS/CLIPPERS OVER 216.5
