Dale Jr. early Daytona 500 favorite


DAYTONA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – The NASCAR Sprint Cup Season for 2015 isn’t far off as the Daytona 500 takes place on Feb. 22. Here is a look at the odds to win that race.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Dale Earnhardt Jr., last year’s winner, is favored to win this race, as he has 10/1 odds. Nine other drivers come into the race with 12/1 odds.

Earnhardt Jr. won this race back in 2004 and then followed that up with a win last year. He has finished second four other times, including in 2013 and 2012.

Of the drivers with 12/1 odds, three are multiple winners of this race. They are Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth. Gordon is a three-time winner, last winning in 2005. Johnson was the 2013 winner and 2012 was won by Kenseth.
