Strasburg, Rendon lead Nats in Game 6
Washington earned a 7-2 victory Tuesday night at Houston in Game 6 of the World Series to even it all up at 3-3. The Nationals trailed 2-1 through four innings but scored two runs in each the fifth, seventh and ninth innings to take full control. Washington broke it open during a controversial seventh inning that saw manager Dave Martinez get ejected for arguing an umpire call. Stephen Strasburg picked up the win for Washington as he gave up two earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and two walks over 8 1/3 innings pitched. Anthony Rendon led the offense as he finished 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk and five RBIs. Adam Eaton was 1-for-2 with a solo homer, a walk and two runs scored. Juan Soto finished 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Max Scherzer, who was scratched from Game 5 with neck and muscle spasms, is expected to pitch Game 7 tonight. He allowed two earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and two walks over five innings in Game 1 of the World Series as the Nats won 5-4.
Bregman homers in loss
Houston suffered a 7-2 defeat at home Tuesday night against Washington in Game 6 of the World Series. The Astros led 2-1 after an Alex Bregman solo home run in the first inning but did not score again. Bregman ended the contest 2-for-4 with the solo home run. George Springer was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a run scored. Carlos Correa finished 1-for-4 with a double. Justin Verlander suffered the loss as he gave up three earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks over five innings. Zack Greinke gets the Game 7 start tonight for Houston after giving up one earned run on seven hits with six strikeouts and three walks over 4 2/3 innings in the Game 3 4-1 victory at Washington.

Prediction:
This one is going to be a doozy. The big question mark is Scherzer's health but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt as he's a proven bulldog who should be able to gut this one out and be effective. Greinke isn't what he once was and even seems to be struggling some with his command in the World Series and the playoffs in general, missing spots more than he usually does. Houston could turn to the bullpen quickly if Greinke doesn't have it going on and the deeper they go, the more advantage the Nationals will have. I see the Astros playing with more pressure here being in front of their home fans, while Scherzer is more than capable of silencing the best of offenses just like Strasburg did after the first inning last night. I'm putting my money on Washington to finish what has been a storybook season.
