Urquidy, Bregman lead Astros

Houston cruised to an 8-1 victory Saturday night at Washington in Game 4 of the World Series to even it up at 2-2. Jose Urquidy picked up the win on the mound as he threw five shutout innings with two hits allowed and four strikeouts. The Astros led 4-0 through five innings and an Alex Bregman grand slam in the seventh put it away. Bregman ended the game 3-for-5 with the grand slam and five RBIs. Robinson Chirinos was 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and two RBIs. Michael Brantley went 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Gerrit Cole starts tonight for Houston after giving up five earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts and one walk over seven innings in a 5-4 home loss in Game 1 of the World Series.

Rendon has two-hit night

Washington fell 8-1 at home against Houston Saturday night in Game 4 of the World Series. Anthony Rendon was 2-for-4 to lead the Nationals offense, while Yan Gomes went 1-for-4 with a double. Juan Soto was 0-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Patrick Corbin took the loss as he gave up four earned runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and two walks over six innings. Max Scherzer will take the mound tonight for Washington after giving up two earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and three walks over five innings in the Game 1 5-4 victory in the World Series.

MLB Betting Trends

Houston

The Astros are 4-1 in their last five road games. Houston is 22-5 in its last 27 Sunday games.

Washington

The Nationals are 5-1 in the last six Scherzer home starts. Washington is 16-5 in the last 21 Scherzer starts overall.

Prediction:

I don't want to toot my own horn too loudly, but I'm 4-0 in picking World Series games so far. Maybe I jinxed myself right there when talking about tonight, but I love the Nationals in this spot. They didn't use their top bullpen arms last night and Scherzer is often dominant at home and at the very least he is likely to limit the damage. Washington did well against Cole in Game 1 and while it might be tougher sledding here, the Nats are at home and have their own ace on the hill. Going with the home dogs here.
