Turner homers in defeat

Los Angeles suffered a 6-1 loss at Washington Monday night in Game 4 of the NLDS to even the series at 2-2. Justin Turner accounted for the lone run for the Dodgers as he finished 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Corey Seager was 1-for-4 with a double, while David Freese went 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit single. Julio Urias took the loss in relief as he surrendered three earned runs on three hits with no strikeouts or walks over two-thirds of an inning. Walker Buehler draws the start tonight after giving up only one hit with eight strikeouts and three walks over shutout innings in a 6-0 Game 1 win.

Scherzer, Zimmerman power Nats

Washington forced a deciding Game 5 of the NLDS Monday night at home as it topped Los Angeles by a score of 6-1. Ryan Zimmerman helped pace the Nationals offense as he ended the game 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Anthony Rendon was 1-for-2 with a run scored and three RBIs. Trea Turner finished 2-for-5 with a double and three runs. Max Scherzer recorded the win on the mound as he gave up one earned run on four hits with seven strikeouts and three walks over seven innings. Stephen Strasburg starts today for Wshington as he is coming off six innings of work in Game 2 as he gave up one earned run on three hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks in a 4-2 victory.

MLB Betting Trends

Washington

The Nationals are 7-1 in their last eight games versus a right-handed starter. Washington is 35-16 in its last 51 games overall.

Los Angeles

The Dodgers are 7-2 in their last nine Wednesday games. Los Angeles is 7-1 in the last eight Buehler starts.

Prediction:

Washington has put up an awesome effort this series, but I have to ride Buehler at home and a Dodgers team that has dominated in their friendly confines most of the season. Strasburg was awesome in Game 2, but now that the Dodgers have seen him I see a little more success in their future. Buehler is always facing the same team for a second time, but I think he has the pedigree to get it done again and should get a few runs of support. While this game feels like it could be a tossup, I definitely see it siding with LA in the end.
