Brewers vs. Cubs Prediction
It isn't exactly winner-take-all as the loser will slide into the NL Wild Card Game, but today's contest between the Milwaukee Brewers and the host Chicago Cubs in Game 163 will decide the winner of the NL Central. Will favored Chicago take care of business or is Milwaukee the right team to bet on this afternoon?

Brewers pound Tigers to force tiebreaker
Milwaukee has a 95-67 record through 162 games, same as Chicago, after Sunday's 11-0 home shellacking over the Tigers. Christian Yelich was 0-for-2, but walked twice and scored two runs in the victory. Ryan Braun went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Travis Shaw finished 2-for-5 with a solo home run, two stolen bases and two runs scored. Jesus Aguilar ended the contest 2-for-5 with his 35th home run, two runs and three RBIs. Mike Moustakas was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Manny Pina went 1-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI. Orlando Arcia finished 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Gio Gonzalez picked up the win as he gave up three hits with two strikeouts and a walk over five innings of work.
Cubs double up Cardinals
Chicago recorded a 10-5 home win over rival St. Louis yesterday to force today's tiebreaker game. It will be the first time ever there will be two Game 163's in the same season and the first tiebreaker game since 2013. Daniel Murphy helped pace the offense as he was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run. Ben Zobrist finished 1-for-5 with a triple, a run and an RBI. Javier Baez ended the game 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, three runs and two RBIs. Anthony Rizzo was a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, three runs and an RBI. Kris Bryant went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk and two RBIs. Jason Heyward finished 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Willson Contreras went 1-for-3 with a 2-run home run and a walk. Allen Webster picked up the win in relief as he retired both batters he faced with one strikeout.
The Brewers have not yet announced their starter for this game, hence why lines are late being released. Chicago is turning to Jose Quintana, who is 13-11 on the season with a 4.09 ERA.
MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The under is 7-1 in the last eight Brewers games on Mondays. Milwaukee is 22-7 in its last 29 games overall.
Chicago
The Cubs are 17-5 in Quintana's last 22 home starts. The under is 23-6 in the last 29 meetings.
Prediction:
The Brewers enter on a seven-game winning streak and their offense has been red-hot as of late, led by the MVP candidate Yelich. Obviously take a look at who Milwaukee is starting on the mound before placing a bet, but its lineup is more than capable of making up any deficiencies in the pitching department. Once the Brewers turn it over to the bullpen, they have the edge over the Cubs in that department. I'm taking Milwaukee here to get the win.
