Cincinnati Reds DFS Spin
Reds pitching coach Derek Johnson said Sunday that the team would likely give Trevor Bauer a chance to start every fourth day in 2021 if he re-signs with them. Bauer has pitched on short rest often in his career and has stated a desire to do it regularly over a full season. With the ability to choose his next landing spot as a free agent, Bauer could get that opportunity, whether it's with the Reds or someone else. It would make for a fascinating discussion in regards to how to evaluate him in fantasy leagues.
Atlanta Braves DFS Spin
Braves manager Brian Snitker said Ronald Acuña (wrist) is feeling "good" and will be ready for Game 1 of their Wild Card Series against the Reds on Wednesday. Acuña was scratched from the Braves' regular season finale on Sunday with left wrist irritation, but it appears that was more precautionary than anything else. He's expected to be back in the leadoff spot to face Trevor Bauer and the Reds.
