German Marquez was outstanding on the mound Wednesday night and received plenty of run support in what ended as a 14-0 victory for the Rockies. Marquez threw seven shutout innings as he gave up three hits with 11 strikeouts and one walk. D.J. LeMahieu finished 1-for-3 with a walk and a run in the winning effort. David Dahl was 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, three runs and three RBIs. Nolan Arenado finished 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Trevor Story was 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, three runs and two RBIs. Carlos Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and two RBIs. Drew Butera hit a pinch-hit 2-run homer in his only at-bat. Ian Desmond finished 2-for-4 with a 2-run home run.
Florimon doubles in loss
Pedro Florimon had the lone extra-base hit for Philadelphia in the defeat as he doubled as a pinch hitter. Dylan Cozens and Scott Kingery both finished 1-for-3. Nick Pivetta took the loss as he surrendered six earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts and three walks over 4 2/3 innings.
Jake Arrieta (10-10, 3.94 ERA) will start today for the Phillies, while the Rockies turn to Antonio Senzatela (6-6, 4.52).
