Ramirez returns with a vengeance

Jose Ramirez returned to the lineup from his hand injury with a two-home run night as Cleveland trounced host Chicago Tuesday night by a score of 11-0. Ramirez ended the game 2-for-3 with the two homers and seven RBIs to lead the way. Roberto Perez finished 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Oscar Mercado was 1-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs. Yasiel Puig went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, a walk and two runs scored. Mike Clevinger secured the win as he gave up five hits with 10 strikeouts and one walk over seven scoreless innings. Shane Bieber gets the start tonight for the Indians as he enters with a 15-7 record, 3.23 ERA and 1.03 WHIP plus 252 strikeouts over 208 2/3 innings pitched.

White Sox unable to muster offense

Chicago fell flat Tuesday night at home as it lost 11-0 to Cleveland to drop to 68-88 overall and 35-40 at home. Carson Fulmer suffered the loss as he allowed four earned runs on two hits with one strikeout and two walks over one inning. Zach Collins helped lead the White Sox offense as he finished 2-for-3 with a walk. Leury Garcia was 1-for-3 with a double, while Jose Abreu ended the game 1-for-4 with a double. Ross Detwiler draws the start tonight as he comes in with a 2-5 record, 6.98 ERA and 1.72 WHIP plus 42 strikeouts over 59 1/3 innings of work.

MLB Betting Trends

Cleveland

The Indians are 5-0 in their last five road games. Cleveland is 4-0 in the last four Bieber starts.

Chicago

The White Sox are 2-8 in their last 10 home games. Chicago is 2-6 in the last eight Detwiler starts.

Prediction:

This is a serious pitching mismatch and with the Indians offense being red-hot, I have no issues going back to the well on the runline once again. Ramirez adds one more dimension to the Cleveland offense and he could be the final piece of the puzzle to help them secure an AL Wild Card berth.
