Edgar Santana suffered the loss as he allowed four earned runs on three hits with a walk while not recoriding an out. Josh Bell helped pace the offense by going 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Corey Dickerson was 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple and two RBIs.
Zach Davies (2-6, 4.66 ERA) draws the start today for the Brewers, while Trevor Williams (13-9, 3.16) goes for the Pirates.
MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers are 15-6 in their last 21 games overall. The over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings.
Pittsburgh
The Pirates are 8-1 in their last nine home games. The under is 13-3-1 in the last 17 Pittsburgh home games.
Prediction:
Pittsburgh might not be the better team, but it has the better starting pitcher in this matchup and should get a better day out of its bullpen if it establishes a lead and turns to the core relievers. Davies should give up a few, which will likely be enough for Williams to navigate his way through.
