Marcus Semien went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a loss to the Rays on Monday. The sensational season for Semien continues, albeit in a loss. The former Oakland slugger turned a 6-2 game into a 6-4 deficit when he took an ineffective David Robertson in the ninth inning. In a year where Semien struggled to get serious offers -- including a layaway offer from the A's -- all Semien has done is hit 41 homers, driven in 97 runs and posted an OPS of .884.

Tampa Bay Rays DFS Notes

Kevin Kiermaier went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in a victory on Monday over the Blue Jays. Kiermaier's steal is the ninth of the season. The 31-year-old singled three times and came around to score a run on a Yandy Díaz three-run homer. Kiermaier was awful in the first half, but has performed well enough to post a respectable -- if far from spectacular -- .253/.315/.373 slash. That speaks more to how bad he was at the start of the season than anything.

The Blue Jays are just 42-89 in their last 131 games against the Rays at Tropicana Field. The Rays, meanwhile, are 42-15 in their last 57 games versus American League East rivals, are 53-20 in their last 73 games coming off a win and are 40-15 in their last 55 games as a home favorite. Tampa is also 39-16 in its last 55 games as a favorite of any kind and is 46-19 in tis last 65 games versus a right-handed starter.
