MLB Betting Trends
St. Louis
The Cardinals are 7-1 in their last eight Thursday games. St. Louis is 8-3 in the last 11 Flaherty starts.
Chicago
The Cubs are 7-0 in their last seven series openers. Chicago is 47-23 in its last 70 home games.
Prediction:
This should be a fun, well-played game but with the Cubs playing so well at home lately and Hendricks usually stepping up in big games I'm siding with the Cubs here to trim the deficit in the division to two games. Flaherty has been fantastic in the second half, but can be vulnerable sometimes against left-handed bats. Someone like Kyle Schwarber might provide the difference here.
