Tigers fall in 10 innings

Detroit lost by a count of 2-1 in 10 innings at Cleveland Wednesday night to drop to 45-101 overall and 24-52 on the road. Jake Rogers paced the offense as he went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Christin Stewart was 1-for-4 with a double. Harold Castro and Brandon Dixon also finished 1-for-4. Jose Cisnero took the loss as he allowed one earned run on one hit with no strikeouts and two walks over one-third of an inning. Daniel Norris draws the start tonight as he enters with a 3-12 record, 4.62 ERA and 1.35 WHIP plus 119 strikeouts over 138 1/3 innings of work.

Puig drives in winning run

Yasiel Puig drove in the game-winning run with a single in the bottom of the 10th inning Wednesday night as Cleveland prevailed 2-1 over Detroit. Puig ended the contest 4-for-5 with the single. Carlos Santana finished 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI. Ryan Flaherty was 1-for-3 with a run scored. Adam Cimber picked up the win in relief as he struck out two over a perfect inning of work. Mike Clevinger gets the start tonight for the Indians as he comes in with an 11-3 record, 2.68 ERA and 1.02 WHIP plus 149 strikeouts over 107 2/3 innings pitched.

MLB Betting Trends

Detroit

The Indians are 14-40 in their last 54 road games. Detroit is 6-13 in the last 19 Norris road starts.

Cleveland

The Indians are 7-2 in their last nine games overall. Cleveland is 9-3 in the last 12 Clevinger starts.

Prediction:

I don't see the Tigers providing as much resistance here in a getaway game. Clevinger has been locked in most of the season when healthy, while Norris is very hittable and there is plenty of right-handed power on the Indians. I'm going with the runline here with the moneyline being so bloated.
