Castro drives in three

Marlins second baseman Starlin Castro ended the night 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk and three RBIs Monday in a 9-5 home win over the Nationals. J.T. Realmuto went 0-for-3 with two walks and a run. Peter O'Brien was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. Lewis Brinson finished 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Austin Dean was 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs. Magneuris Sierra finished 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base, a run and two RBIs. Jarlin Garcia retired the only batter he faced to record the win in relief. Adam Conley struck out one in a perfect inning of work for his third save of the season.

Robles hits first MLB homer in loss

Victor Robles went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, his first at the MLB level, from the leadoff spot in yesterday's loss at Miami. Anthony Rendon was 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs and two RBIs. Koda Glover suffered the loss in relief as he surrendered two earned runs on two hits in an inning of work.

Strasburg (8-7, 3.87) will start today for the Nationals, while the Marlins turn to Sandy Alcantara (2-0, 1.42).

MLB Betting Trends

The Nationals are 8-3 in their last 11 road games. Washington is 7-3 in its last 10 games overall.

The Marlins are 7-19 the last 26 times they have faced Strasburg. Miami is 3-8 in its last 11 home meetings with the Nats.

Alcantara has looked good in his brief time in the big leagues, but he is still raw and could easily get shelled by Washington tonight. Meanwhile, Strasburg looked back to his normal start his last time out. I think we get more of the same from him tonight. Take favored Washington here.
