Jack Flaherty vs. Brett Anderson
St. Louis Cardinals DFS Spin
Paul DeJong played the role of hero for the Cardinals on Monday, delivering a two-out RBI single in the ninth inning to secure a 3-2 victory over the Brewers in the nightcap of their doubleheader. Neither team was able to score the inherited runner in the eighth inning, and it looked as though the Cardinals were going to squander their chance in the ninth as well until DeJong lined a 2-0 pitch from Justin Topa into left field to give the Cardinals the lead. It was his third single of the game in five trips to the plate. His power has disappeared this season -- with just three homers in his first 100 at-bats-- but he's slashing a solid .304/.387/.441 with 20 RBI.
Milwaukee Brewers DFS Spin
Jedd Gyorko smacked a two-run homer on Monday, accounting for all of the Brewers' offense in a losing effort against the Cardinals. Gyorko tagged Cardinals' starter Daniel Ponce de Leon for the two-run blast in the fourth inning, giving the Brewers a 2-1 lead. That would be the last time they would score. Gyorko finished the night 1-for-3 plus a walk. He has done a nice job at the plate this season, slashing .286/.369/.635 with eight homers and 14 RBI.
Cardinals vs. Brewers Betting Prediction
Neither of these teams can hit and this game tonight is lining up to be the best pitching matchup of the series. In their double header on Monday, the Cards and Brewers COMBINED to score eight runs in the two games and needed extra innings in both contests just to reach that total. The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams at Miller Park and is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall.
