Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, Cleveland is favored on the road, as the Indians are getting odds of -120 to win. The Rays are listed with a money line of +110 to win, while the over/under total has been set at 8.5 runs. The public betting for this game currently has 66 percent going on Cleveland on the road. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our MLB Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Indians edged in opener

The Tribe saw their ace, Corey Kluber, last just 1.2 innings in a 6-5 loss last night. Kluber gave up four runs in the second to earn the hook. Cleveland has lost three of its last four. The Indians are now 81-63 overall and 37-35 on the road. Cleveland is putting up 5.04 runs per game on offense this year while giving up 4.07 per contest.

Shane Bieber gets the start for the Indians tonight. He has started 16 games this year and carries a 9-3 record with a 4.63 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. Bieber has pitched 91.1 innings this season and has 93 strikeouts with 16 walks.

Rays win fourth straight

The Rays continued to make their last-ditch effort at a playoff run with their fourth straight victory on Monday night. Tampa is now 79-64 overall and 45-24 at home. Tampa is putting up 4.38 runs per game on offense this year while allowing 3.94 per contest.

Tyler Glasnow will get the start for Tampa tonight. He has started seven games and appeared in 41 this season. Glasnow carries a 1-5 record with a 4.64 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP. Glasnow was lit up for seven runs in 2/3 of an inning in his last start at Toronto. He has 112 strikeouts and 46 walks over 87.1 innings this year.

MLB Betting Trends

Cleveland

The Indians have won Bieber’s last four road starts, but they are just 3-7 in their last 10 road games.

Tampa

The Rays have won seven of their last eight against AL Central opponents and they have win 16 of their last 21 games following a win.

Prediction:

The Rays are not and the Indians have been in a small funk, but I like Cleveland to get the win tonight. Glasnow has given up at least three runs in three of his last four starts and he was shelled by an average Toronto lineup in his last start. Bieber hasn’t been great either, giving up at least three in five straight, but he’s getting deeper into games and has the more consistent hitting to support him.

The Pick: Cleveland Indians -120
