Nicholas Castellanos led the Cubs offense as he went 2-for-4 iwth a solo home run plus a double. Kris Bryant was 1-for-3 plus a walk. Jason Heyward was 0-for-1 with two walks. Cole Hamels took the loss as he surrendered five earned runs on nine hits with three strikeouts and two walks over 3 1/3 innings. Brewers roll to win

Milwaukee earned a 7-1 home victory Friday night over Chicago to improve to 72-68 overall and 41-31 at home. Christian Yelich paced the Brewers offensively as he went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Yasmani Grandal finished 2-for-5 with a solo homer and two runs scored. Gio Gonzalez draws the start tonight as he comes in with a 2-2 record, 4.14 ERA and 1.37 WHIP plus 60 strikeouts over 67 1/3 innings.

MLB Betting Trends

The Cubs are 6-1 in their last seven road games. Chicago is 1-5 in the last six Darvish road starts.

The Brewers are 4-0 in their last four Saturday games. Milwaukee is 15-6 in the last 21 Gonzalez starts.

Darvish has had a couple blips, but overall he's been very solid the last couple months. I'm banking on that continuing here as the Cubs could use a strong start after yesterday. Chicago has a few hitters from the right side who could pose problems for Gonzalez and I'm going to bank the Cubs jumping ahead early with Darvish doing the rest.
