Mike Freeman also ended the game 0-for-2 with a walk. Zach Plesac took the loss as he gave up six earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and two walks over five innings. Minnesota held on for a 2-1 victory at Boston Thursday as it scored the go-ahead run on a Willians Astudillo pinch-hit RBI single in the top of the seventh inning. Luis Arraez had the only other hit for the Twins as he went 1-for-3 plus a walk. Miguel Sano finished 0-for-1 with three walks and two runs scored. Taylor Rogers gave up one hit with no strikeouts or walks over two-thirds of a scoreless inning to notch the save. MLB Betting Trends
Cleveland
The Indians are 5-2 in their last seven Friday games. Cleveland is 12-5 in the last 17 Plutko starts.
Minnesota
The Twins are 10-2 in their last 12 games overall. Minnesota is 4-0 in the last four Plutko starts.
Prediction:
Cleveland has struggled lately and is really missing the injured Jose Ramirez from its lineup. After getting almost no-hit by Reynaldo Lopez their last game, the Indians will face another power right-handed pitcher today in Pineda. Coupled with the fact the Twins are a much better team than the White Sox and at home, I think Cleveland's struggles continue with another loss today.
