San Diego Padres DFS Spin
Fernando Tatis Jr. delivered a solo homer and a two-run double against the A's on Friday. The homer was Tatis's 14th, putting him in a tie with Mike Trout for the major league lead. Tatis has cooled down some of late, but that's all still relative. Even in his worst stretch of the season in the two weeks from Aug. 20 to Sept. 3, he hit .280/.390/.440 in 13 games.
Oakland A’s DFS Spin
Mike Minor gave up a pair of homers in an inning of work Friday against the Padres in his first appearance for the A's. The A's are saying they'll give Minor starts in some of their upcoming doubleheaders, but it sure seems like their hope in acquiring him was that he'd turn into a shutdown setup man in the postseason. Tonight's audition wasn't a good start, but at least those homers came off the bats of Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado.
Padres vs. A’s Betting Prediction
Over his 30 1/3 innings of work this season, Manaea has been up-and-down. He pitched well in his last start, but that came against a Rangers team that doesn’t have much of an offense and he still surrendered three runs on six hits in a win. On the season, he’s 2-2 with a 5.64 ERA and 1.42 WHIP, he doesn’t strike many batters out (25 over his 30 1/3 innings) and he’s facing a dangerous San Diego lineup. Meanwhile, Paddack will face an Oakland offense that was shut out last night and a group of A’s hitters that haven’t seen live pitching in nearly a week (save for last night, of course). There’s too much value to pass on the Padres at -110 here.
