Houston Astros DFS Spin

Jose Altuve will undergo an MRI on his right knee on Thursday. Altuve left with right knee discomfort after an awkward -- to put it nicely -- slide into third base in the first inning against the Rangers. While it didn't appear to be a serious issue, the Astros won't take any chances with their second baseman and will undergo imaging to make sure there's no structural damage. For now, consider Altuve day-to-day, but it sounds like he won't be in the lineup on Friday.

Los Angeles Angels DFS Spin

Andrelton Simmons went 2-for-4 with an RBI as the Angels' leadoff man Thursday. Simmons could have been a significant upgrade for a few contenders prior to the deadline, but no one was willing to pay the price it would have taken to land the free agent-to-be. Simmons is 15-for-38 in 10 games since returning from an a sprained ankle on Aug. 21.

Astros vs. Angels Betting Prediction

Bundy has quietly put together a strong 2020 campaign, posting a 4-2 record with a 2.47 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP over seven starts. With 47 strikeouts over 43 2/3 innings of work, Bundy has been a punchout artist and unlike when he pitched in Baltimore, he’s done a better job of keeping the ball in the yard. He’ll face a depleted Houston lineup that is likely to be without Altuve and one that has been streaky over the past few weeks. Meanwhile, McCullers Jr. has a winning record at 3-2 but has a bloated 5.06 ERA over 37 1/3 innings of work. The Astros are just 2-8 in their last 10 road games and despite their struggles this season, I like the Angels to pick up the win tonight at home.
