Albies hits second homer since All-Star Break

Braves shortstop Ozzie Albies hit his 22nd home run of the season, but only his second since the All-Star Break, in yesterday's loss. It was his only hit in four at-bats. Ender Inciarte finished 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Freddie Freeman and Nick Markakis were both 1-for-4 with a walk. Johan Camargo went 2-for-3 with two walks. Dansby Swanson finished 1-for-3 with a walk. Touki Toussaint took the loss as he gave up three earned runs on four hits with six strikeouts and two walks over 4 2/3 innings.

Rick Porcello (15-7, 4.27 ERA) will start today for Boston, while Atlanta counters with Sean Newcomb (11-7, 3.85).

MLB Betting Trends

Boston

The Red Sox are 33-20 against teams with a winning record this season. Boston is 11-0 when Porcello has started an interleague game the last two seasons.

Atlanta

The Braves are 36-24 after a loss this season. Three of four meetings have gone over the total this season.

Prediction:

Newcomb has pitched well against a lot of good teams this season and while Porcello has been outstanding in interleague games, all streaks have to come to the end. Atlanta has bounced back well after wins all season and being the home team will help it even this series at a game apiece.
