Oakland A’s DFS Notes
Matt Chapman slugged a two-run homer and a solo shot Tuesday as the Athletics downed the Tigers. They were both missiles and were measured nearly identically for Statcast purposes. Chapman's first homer in the third inning went 423 feet and was measured at 108.4 mph off the bat. His second dinger in the ninth inning went 426 feet and was measured at 108.3 mph off the bat. Funnily enough, he also had a flyout which went 424 feet and was measured at 108.3 mph. Chapman has now slugged nine home runs over his last 14 games.
Detroit Tigers DFS Notes
Robbie Grossman slugged his 20th home run Tuesday as the Tigers fell to the Athletics. It came in the first inning off of Cole Irvin as Grossman got the scoring going. He also later added a single. Eight of the switch-hitters 20 dingers have come against left-handers, and he's fared much better against southpaws this season. This is the first time in Grossman's career that he's been given 500 plate appearances, and so far he's responded with 20 dingers, 15 steals and a .355 on-base percentage.
