Bichette has three-hit night

Toronto fell by a score of 7-4 Friday night at Seattle to drop to 52-79 overall and 27-40 on the road. Bo Bichette paced the Blue Jays offense as he went 3-for-5 with a run scored. Teoscar Hernandez finished 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Justin Smoak was 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI. Sam Gaviglio took the loss in relief as he surrendered three earned runs on one hit with one strikeout and three walks over two-thirds of an inning. Wilmer Font will be the opener tonight for Toronto as he enters with a 3-3 record, 4.27 ERA and 1.27 WHIP with 70 strikeouts over 65 1/3 innings pitched.

Crawford, Narvaez power M's

Seattle posted a 7-4 victory Friday night at home over Toronto to improve to 55-74 overall and 28-36 at home. J.P. Crawford helped lead the Mariners offense as he ended the night 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored. Omar Narvaez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk. Kyle Seager finished 2-for-3 with two doubles, two walks and two RBIs. Matt Wisler picked up the win in relief as he gave up one hit with one strikeout and no walks in two-thirds of a scoreless frame. Matt Magill notched his third save as he struck out one in a perfect inning of relief. Felix Hernandez draws the start tonight for Seattle as he comes in with a 1-4 record, 6.52 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with 34 strikeouts over 38 2/3 innings pitched.

MLB Betting Trends

Toronto

The Blue Jays are 1-4 in their last five games versus the AL West. Toronto is 1-5 in its last six road games versus a right-handed starter.

Seattle

The Mariners are 5-1 in their last six games overall. Seattle is 1-4 in the last five Hernandez home starts.

Prediction:

Hernandez hasn't been on the mound for the Mariners in months and it will be interesting to see how this goes. He's definitely going to be motivated and he'll be facing a struggling team, whcih should help. This could be King Felix's last hurrah with Seattle and I'm betting on him having another quality start or two before it's all said and done. Font is inconsistent on the other side and a run or two early could help Hernandez settle into a groove. I'm going with the home dogs here.
