According to oddsmakers, the White Sox are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -125 to win. The Rangers are listed with a money line of +105 to win. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 9.5 runs. The public betting for the contest currently has 80 percent going on the White Sox at home. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our MLB Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Rangers drop first two

Texas has dropped the first two games of this series, getting outscored 14-4 after an 8-3 loss to the White Sox on Friday. The Rangers are 63-67 on the season, 25-40 on the road and 66-60 with the under. Kolby Allard is getting the start for the Rangers tonight. He is 1-0 on the season with a 6.60 ERA.

The Rangers put up three runs in the first, but then saw things fall apart from there. They finished with just four hits in the loss. Willie Calhoun had a three-run home run in the first inning for the lone highlight of the game for Texas. Lance Lynn got rocked on the mound, as he gave up seven runs on 11 hits over 5.2 innings to fall to 14-9 on the year. He did manage 10 strikeouts.

White Sox win third straight

Chicago has won three straight and four of its last five following the 8-3 win over the Rangers on Friday. The Sox are 59-69 on the season, 32-31 at home and 64-59 with the under. The Sox have Ivan Nova getting the start tonight. He is 9-9 on the season with a 4.47 ERA.

Dylan Cease had a shaky first inning, but settled in for six strong innings with nine strikeouts to improve to 3-6 on the season. The Chicago bullpen also threw three perfect innings. At the plate, Chicago was led by Yoan Moncada, who hit his 22nd home run of the season. Jose Abreu also drove in his 98th run of the season with a RBI double.

MLB Betting Trends

Texas

The Rangers are 7-19 in their last 26 road games and 7-17 in their last 24 games following a loss.

Chicago

The White Sox have won four straight home games and nine of their last 13 home games against a left-handed starter.

Prediction:

Nova has been one of the most surprising turnarounds in the league. He has won five straight decisions and Chicago has won his last six starts and he has given up just four earned runs over that span, a total of 42.1 innings. He has dropped his ERA by 1.4 in that span. Allard has just three starts this year and he has given up 12 runs over 15 innings. Chicago looks like a different lineup with Moncada back from injury. I think Chicago will continue to pound the ball today while Nova keeps up his hot streak.

MLB Prediction: Chicago White Sox -125
