This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our MLB Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Rangers heating up

Texas took three of four at home from the Angels this week to get near the .500 mark. The Rangers are 63-65 on the season, 25-38 on the road and 65-59 with the under. Ariel Jurado is getting the start for Texas tonight. He is 6-9 on the season with a 5.38 ERA.

The Rangers were once one of the top hitting teams in the league. They now are 10th, averaging 5.10 runs per game while batting .251. They are without hitters Joey Gallo (wrist) and Nomar Mazara (oblique) due to injuries. On the mound, the Rangers have a 4.97 team ERA and a 1.45 team WHIP. Rougned Odor is leading the team this season with 22 doubles, 21 home runs and 67 RBI. Shin-Soo Choo is adding 27 doubles, 20 home runs and 48 RBI.

White Sox stun the Twins

Chicago had an impressive series win in Minnesota this week after shutting out the Twins on Wednesday night, 4-0. The Sox are 57-69 on the season, 30-31 at home and 63-58 with the under. The Sox have Ross Detwiler getting the start today. He is 1-3 on the year with a 6.10 ERA.

The White Sox don’t have great season numbers this season. They average just 4.22 runs per game while batting .254 as a team. On the mound, Chicago has a 4.87 team ERA with a 1.44 team WHIP. Jose Abreu is leading the team this year with 28 doubles, 28 home runs and 96 RBI. Yoan Moncada has added 21 doubles, 20 home runs and 59 RBI. He has not played this month due to a hamstring injury, but is listed as probable to return tonight.

MLB Betting Trends

Texas

The Rangers have lost six straight against AL Central opponents, but they have won seven of their last 10 against a left-handed starter.

Chicago

The White Sox are just 4-11 in their last 15 home games and 1-6 in their last seven games following a win.

Prediction:

Jurado has been a mess lately, allowing 16 runs over his last 5.2 innings. He has given up at least three runs in six of his last seven starts. Detwiler hasn’t been great either, but has been a little less worse. His ERA at home is 4.33, which is nearly half of what it is on the road. Given the potential return of Moncada, I like the White Sox to beat up on Jurado tonight and allow Detwiler to get the run support he needs for a win.

MLB Prediction: Chicago White Sox +105
