White Sox beat up

The Chicago White Sox got an upset win on Monday night, but were then thrashed on Tuesday, 14-4. The Sox are 56-69 on the season, 26-38 on the road and 62-58 with the under. Lucas Giolito gets the start for Chicago today. He is 13-6 on the season with a 3.41 ERA.

Chicago actually took a 3-0 lead early in Tuesday’s game, but that quickly fell apart. Jose Abreu continued his strong year with his 28th home run and 94th RBI while Tim Anderson also homered and drove in a pair of runs. Reynaldo Lopez took the loss to fall to 7-11 on the season. He gave up seven runs, just three of which were earned, over six innings.

Twins bounce back

After being upset at home on Monday, the Minnesota Twins bounced back in a big way on Tuesday with a 10-run victory. The Twins are 77-49 on the season, 37-27 at home and 64-54 with the over. Minnesota has Jake Odorizzi getting the start today. He is 13-5 on the season with a 3.50 ERA.

The Twins fell behind 3-0 but broke things open and put up seven runs in the seventh for insurance. Nelson Cruz connected on his 33rd home run of the season and also had three doubles and three RBI to lead the Twins while Max Kepler hit his 34th home run and drove in three as well. Michael Pineda got the win on the mound to improve to 9-5 on the year. He gave up four runs over seven innings.

MLB Betting Trends

Chicago

The White Sox are 3-9 in their last 12 Game 3’s of a series, but 7-2 in their last nine games following a loss.

Minnesota

The Twins are 43-17 in their last 60 against a team with a losing record, but just 2-6 in their last eight home games.

Prediction:

Odorizzi has been pretty good this season for the most part, outside of a few bad outings. He carries a 7-1 record at home with a 3.29 ERA. Over 5.1 innings of work against Chicago this year, Odorizzi hasn’t given up a run. Giolito has been very strong for Chicago this year and is able to get deep into games. He is 8-2 on the road with a 2.91 ERA, however he has a 6.30 ERA against the Twins over two starts this year. Minnesota just has too much power in their bats to expect them to lose twice to the Sox.

MLB Prediction: Minnesota Twins -175
