New York Yankees Fantasy Spin
Aaron Judge went 2-for-5 with an RBI double in Sunday's loss to the Indians. Judge came through with an RBI double in the ninth inning. While that run did not ultimately have a tangible impact in the 8-4 defeat, we are looking for any positive signs we can find from the slugger, who has struggled to find himself this summer. Judge is hitting just .265/.387/.455 with 12 home runs and 33 RBI in 69 games. He has not homered since back on Aug. 4, when he went deep against the Red Sox. Judge has three doubles in his last five games, hopefully a sign that he might be on the verge of putting something together. The star outfielder can be susceptible to cold streaks like the one he is currently chilling in, but when he does get hot -- and that is going to come, just a matter of time -- look out.
Oakland A’s Fantasy Spin
Marcus Semien hit his 21st home run of the season in Sunday's loss to the Astros. Semien was the only Athletics hitter to do damage against Astros starter Zack Grienke, turning on an inside fastball in the fourth inning and depositing it over the wall in left. The homer is Semien's 21st of the year, and he's closing in on his career-best 27 home runs set in 2016. By almost every metric the 28-year-old is having the best offensive year of his career, batting .269/.356/.470 with 21 homers, 57 RBI, 90 runs scored and seven steals through Sunday.
MLB Betting Trends
New York
The Yankees have won 42 of their last 58 games overall and are 6-2 in their last eight road games.
Oakland
The A’s are 20-7 in their last 27 home games versus a right-handed starter.
Prediction:
The Yankees do not play well in Oakland, dropping six of their last seven road games versus the A’s overall. While I do like the pitching matchup for the Bombers tonight, the A’s are so hot that the value is with Oakland as an underdog. The A’s have won 72 of their last 107 home games and are 13-3 in their last 16 games following an off day. They’ve also won 19 of their last 26 games following a loss.
The Pick: Oakland A’s +110
