Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
Charlie Blackmon went 2-for-5 with a solo homer on Monday in a loss to the Diamondbacks. Blackmon's homer didn't have much of an effect on the score, as it came with the Rockies trailing by three in the ninth inning off of Archie Bradley. Still counts the same in the ole box score, however. Blackmon now has homered in three consecutive games, and he has six in his last 15 contests. Long story short, he's red-hot with the bat, and he's upped his season OPS to .982 with 28 homers and 85 RBI over 455 at-bats in 106 games.
Arizona Diamondbacks Fantasy Spin
Carson Kelly went 2-for-3 and hit a go-ahead homer in the Diamondbacks' 5-3 victory over the Rockies on Monday. With the game tied at 2-2, Kelly took Wade Davis deep in the eighth inning to give the Diamondbacks a 3-2 lead and ultimately the victory. The backstop has really swung the bat well as of late, and the solo homer gives him 18 roundtrippers and 43 runs driven in. The 25-year-old is now slashing .259/.351/.542 in his 88 games, and has become one of the better fantasy options behind the plate. No reason to think he can't keep it up for the rest of this year and beyond, either.
