Washington Nationals Fantasy Spin
Victor Robles went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a pair of runs scored in the Nationals’ rout of the Brewers on Sunday, extending his hitting streak to seven games in the process. Robles clobbered a solo homer -- his 16th round-tripper of the season -- to center field off Brewers’ starter Chase Anderson in the opening frame. He also doubled and came around to score on a three-run dinger by Brian Dozier in the third inning. The 22-year-old outfielder has quietly put together an impressive rookie campaign thanks to his blend of power and speed. He owns a .252/.323/.440 triple-slash line with 68 runs scored, 16 home runs, 53 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 464 plate appearances.
Pittsburgh Pirates Fantasy Spin
Starling Marte went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo home run as the Pirates fell to the Cubs on Sunday night. Marte provided the Pirates' only offense in the contest with a solo shot off of Craig Kimbrel leading off the ninth inning. He also stole a base in the ballgame. The dynamic outfielder is now slashing .292/.335/.503 with 21 homers, 70 RBI and 22 stolen bases in what has been a terrific all-around season.
MLB Betting Trends
Washington
The Nationals have lost four of their last five meetings with the Pirates at PNC Park.
Pittsburgh
The Pirates have dropped 21 of their last 26 games overall.
Prediction:
The under has been profitable when these two teams have met prior to tonight’s game, cashing in six of the last seven meetings and four of the last five at PNC Park. The under is also 5-0 in Joe Ross’ last five road starts, is a perfect 7-0 in his last seven outings overall and is 17-8 in the Nationals’ last 25 games coming off a win. On the other side, the under is 5-1 in the Pirates’ last six games when facing an opponent with a winning record and is 4-1 in their last five home games.
The Pick: Nationals/Pirates UNDER 10
