The White Sox put up four runs in the third inning on Saturday and held a 5-2 lead for a while, only to see it fall apart late. Evan Marshall took the loss by allowing two unearned runs in the seventh. He is 3-2 on the year. Hector Santiago pitched 4.2 innings in his start and allowed two runs on four hits. At the plate, Eloy Jiminez had a two-run home run for the Sox while James McCann also drove in two runs.

Angels rally for win

Los Angeles put up four runs in the seventh inning to pick up the win over the White Sox on Saturday. Los Angeles is 61-64 overall, 32-31 at home and 62-56 with the over. The Angels have Griffin Canning on the mound this afternoon. He is 4-6 on the year with a 4.86 ERA.

Mike Trout drove in a pair of runs in Saturday’s win and was part of the four-run rally in the seventh to lead the Angles to a win. He has 96 RBI on the year. Brian Goodwin also drove in a pair of runs as well in the victory. Noe Ramirez lasted just 1.1 innings in his start and took a no-decision. Taylor Cole improved to 3-4 on the year by pitching 1.2 scoreless innings of relief while Hansel Robles had a perfect ninth to get his 18^th save of the year.

Cease has been competitive on the mound as of late despite a poor ERA on the season. Canning has been similar, but doesn’t last terribly long on the mound. He has been more competitive at home, posting a 4.53 ERA. Cease hasn’t had a lot of great outings to rely on this year and I don’t know that he can count on a lot of run support today. In this pitching matchup, I like the Angels hitters to come through at home.
