San Francisco Giants Fantasy Spin

Kevin Pillar drilled a pair of home runs in the Giants' win over the Diamondbacks in extra-innings on Friday. The ball was absolutely flying in Arizona as the two teams combined for a staggering 12 home runs in the extra-inning affair. Pillar crushed a no-doubter to left field off Diamondbacks’ starter Mike Leake in the fourth inning and also walloped a two-run shot off reliever Yoshihisa Hirano in the 10th inning. It was his first multi-homer effort of the 2019 campaign. The 30-year-old outfielder offers some value in deeper mixed leagues, but his underwhelming plate skills limit his ceiling.

Arizona Diamondbacks Fantasy Spin

Eduardo Escobar went 2-for-6 with a solo homer and a pair of runs scored in the Diamondbacks’ loss to the Giants in extra-innings on Friday. Escobar kick-started the Diamondbacks’ improbable five-run rally in the eighth inning with a solo shot to left-center field off Tony Watson. It was his 28th round-tripper of the season. The 30-year-old third baseman owns a .273/.329/.530 triple-slash line with 75 runs scored, 97 RBI and five stolen bases in 532 plate appearances. He's on pace to easily record the first-ever 30-homer, 100-RBI season of his career.

MLB Betting Trends

San Francisco

The Giants have won five of their last six games overall.

Arizona

The Diamondbacks have won four straight games in which Merrill Clarke has started.

Prediction:

The Giants have been a terrible offensive team at home this season but they continue to rake at Chase Field, including last night when they hung 10 on the board in Arizona. They’re now 6-1 in their last seven games played in Arizona and are 4-1 in their last five meetings with the Diamondbacks overall. In their last 16 games versus National League West foes, the G-Men are also 13-3. Meanwhile, the D-Backs have dropped five of their last seven overall and are 2-5 in their last seven home games against a right-handed starter. Tonight, they’ll face righty Logan Webb, who was recently reinstated from an 80-game PED suspension and who will make his Major League debut. The 22-year-old owned a 1.85 ERA across four minor-league levels this season.

The Pick: San Francisco Giants +109
