The veteran first baseman is on pace to set new career highs across the board and he has a batting average over .300 for the fourth year in a row, which is an extreme rarity in baseball these days. He is slashing .311/.405/.577 with 31 home runs, 98 RBI and 96 runs scored in 122 games. His career highs (in various seasons) are 34 homers, 109 RBI and 102 runs -- all of which will fall in the coming days.
