Rockies vs. Braves Prediction
The Atlanta Braves have won five in a row and currently lead the NL East by two games as they get set to host the Colorado Rockies in a four-game series. Is Atlanta the right play again today as a small home underdog?

Rockies smoked by Astros
Colorado saw its four-game win streak come to an end last night with a 12-1 loss at Houston. Nolan Arenado went 2-for-3 with a walk to lead the way in the defeat. Carlos Gonzalez finished 1-for-3 with a run. Trevor Story was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Tyler Anderson suffered the loss as he was shelled for nine earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and three walks over 4 1/3 innings of work.
Acuna Jr. leaves with elbow injury
Braves phenom outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. had homered in five straight games, so Marlins pitcher Jose Urena went the dirty route and beaned him with a fastball in the elbow yesterday that was 97.5 MPH on the radar gun. It was the fastest first pitch of the game Urena had ever thrown and sparked a benches-clearing incident plus his ejection. Acuna Jr. had to leave the game with the injury and is considered day-to-day. Atlanta completed the sweep with a 5-2 victory, winning its fifth in a row. Freddie Freeman was 2-for-3 in the win, while Nick Markakis finished 3-for-4 with two runs. Ender Inciarte was 1-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. Dansby Swanson went 1-for-3 with a 3-run homer. Kevin Gausman picked up the win as he allowed two earned runs on four hits with two strikeouts and two walks over six innings. A.J. Minter picked up his 11th save as he struck out two in a perfect ninth inning.
Jon Gray (9-7, 4.81 ERA) will start today's game for the Rockies, while the Braves counter with Julio Teheran.
MLB Betting Trends
Colorado
The over is 9-4 in the last 13 Colorado road games. The over is 9-1-2 in Gray's last 12 road starts.
Atlanta
The Braves are 7-19 in the last 26 meetings. The under is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings.
Prediction:
Atlanta will probably be without Acuna Jr. today, a big blow to its lineup. With Gray enjoying a resurgence the last couple month and Teheran being inconsistent, I like the Rockies to get the win here and end the Braves' winning streak.
