Rockies’ Anderson hurls six innings vs. Dodgers in no-decision

Tyler Anderson yielded one run on four hits over six innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Thursday. Anderson struck out six batters and only issued one walk, throwing 67 of 101 pitches for strikes. The 28-year-old southpaw had allowed 11 runs in 10 innings over his last two starts, but rebounded with a superb effort against a star-studded Dodger lineup in Coors Field. The 28-year-old lefty is 6-4 with a 3.94 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 127/48 K/BB ratio in 24 starts. He’s slated to face the Astros in Minute Maid Park on Wednesday.

Astros’ Cole allows four runs in loss to Mariners

Gerrit Cole surrendered four runs in 7 1/3 innings Friday in a loss to the Mariners. Cole isn't pitching all that badly, but he's gone 1-for-4 in his last eight starts, leaving him 10-5 overall this season. The four runs allowed tonight ties his season high, and his five strikeouts matched his season low. But those stats are really just illustrations of how excellent he's been overall this year.

MLB Betting Trends

Colorado

The Rockies are a perfect 4-0 in their last four games overall.

Houston

The Astros have dropped five straight games and are 0-9 in their last nine home games.

Prediction:

The under is 4-0 in the Astros’ last four games, is 15-4-2 in their last 21 games coming off a loss, and is 3-0-1 in Cole’s last four starts. On the other side, the under is 9-2-1 in Anderson’s last 12 starts when their opponent allows five runs or more in their previous game and 8-2 in his last 10 outings after the Rockies scored five runs or more in their previous contest.

The Pick: Rockies/Astros under 7.5
