Arizona is 59-59 on the season, 32-31 on the road and 58-54 with the over. Merrill Kelly is getting the start for Arizona tonight. He is 7-12 on the season with a 4.52 ERA.
Arizona is solid on the plate and on the mound this year, ranking in the top 10 in the league in both categories. The Diamondbacks are posting a 4.32 team ERA this year with a 1.29 team WHIP. At the plate, Arizona is averaging 5.14 runs per game while batting .258 as a team. Eduardo Escobar is leading the team with 20 doubles, 26 home runs and 94 RBI. MLB Betting Trends
Arizona
The Diamondbacks are 2-5 in their last seven road games and they have lost Kelly’s last four road starts.
Colorado
The Rockies are 3-7 in their last 10 home games and they have lost four straight following a win.
Prediction:
Kelly hasn’t had good results over the last month, losing six straight decisions while Arizona has lost his last seven starts. Not all have been on him, but he has seen his ERA grow by 0.59 in that span. Lambert hasn’t been much better. He just gave up nine runs to Houston last week and he has allowed multiple runs in nine straight starts. Both teams can hit the ball, so this should be high scoring, but I will go with the home team in a hitting contest.
MLB Prediction: Colorado Rockies -115
