Reds vs. Braves MLB Prediction
The Braves took the series opener versus the Reds on Tuesday night and will look to make it two in a row on Wednesday when the two teams meet again at 7:20 p.m. ET from Truist Park. Will Atlanta continue its winning ways versus Cincinnati or is there a better play on the board?
Game Snapshot
909 Cincinnati Reds (-110) at 910 Atlanta Braves (-110); o/u 9.5
7:20 p.m. ET, Wednesday, August 11, 2021
Truist Park, Atlanta, GA
Cincinnati Reds DFS Notes
Aristides Aquino clubbed a two-run homer for the Reds' only runs in Tuesday's loss to the Braves. Joey Votto doubled to lead off the top of the second inning, and Aquino followed with a moonshot which found its way into the left-field seats. That was all the Reds were able to come up with against Drew Smyly and the Braves' bullpen, though. Aquino has an OPS over .900 versus lefties this season, which is why he's been starting against them lately.
Atlanta Braves DFS Notes
Will Smith gave up a walk and a hit but hung on to notch a save Tuesday versus the Reds. You usually don't get away with letting multiple runners on while trying to hold a one-run lead, but Smith managed to squeak it out. Kyle Farmer doubled with one out and Eugenio Suarez then walked, but Smith sent Braves fans home happy by getting Mike Moustakas to ground into a game-ending double play. It wasn't the prettiest, but Smith will take it after he blew his last save opportunity.
