Yankees on fire

The New York Yankees are riding an eight-game win streak right now after a sweep in Baltimore. The Yankees have scored 32 runs over their last three games. New York is 75-39 overall, 32-31 on the road and 64-46 with the over. The Yanks have Domingo German on the mound tonight. He is 14-2 on the year with a 3.98 ERA.

The Yankees now have the most productive offense in the league, averaging 5.94 runs per game while batting .272 as a team. The New York pitching staff has a 4.32 team ERA with a 1.31 team WHIP. Injuries have been an issue all year for New York, but it hasn’t stopped them from winning games. DJ LeMahieu is leading the team this season with 24 doubles, 18 home runs and 77 RBI. Gleyber Torres has 19 doubles, 23 home runs and 62 RBI, but he is questionable to play today due to an abdominal injury.

Blue Jays playing well

Toronto is coming off a surprising series win in Tampa thanks to a 4-3 win on Wednesday. The Blue Jays have won seven of their last 10 games. The Jays are 47-70 on the season, 20-34 at home and 57-56 with the under. Toronto has Thomas Pannone on the mound today. He is 2-4 on the season with a 5.98 ERA.

The Jays are slowly climbing up the hitting ranks, as they now average 4.47 runs per game while batting .236 as a team. On the mound, Toronto has a 4.71 team ERA with a 1.43 team WHIP. Freddy Galvis is leading the team this season with 23 doubles, 18 home runs and 54 RBI. Vlad Guerrero Jr. is adding 19 doubles, 13 home runs and 49 RBI.

MLB Betting Trends

New York

The Yankees have won four straight road games and six straight against left-handed starters.

Toronto

The Blue Jays are just 3-7 in their last 10 home games and 6-17 in their last 23 series openers.

Prediction:

The Yankees look to keep up this big win streak with German on the mound today. He has been pretty solid for most of the season, but also gets a lot of run support. German threw six scoreless innings against the Jays earlier this season, but also has a 5.60 ERA in road starts despite a 7-1 record. Pannone has struggled for most of the last month, allowing 15 runs over his last 20.2 innings. While he has recorded four scoreless innings against the Yankees this year, I don’t see that happening today. New York is on a big roll and they can win tonight with either hitting or pitching.

MLB Prediction: New York Yankees -195
