Yankees' Severino allows four runs in loss to Red Sox
Luis Severino yielded four runs over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Friday. Severino put himself in an early hole by giving up three runs in the first inning. He had trouble putting batters away throughout, allowing seven hits while walking three. He notched just two strikeouts and five swinging strikes while throwing a season-high 115 pitches. Severino holds a rough 8.28 ERA over his last five starts and hasn’t completed six innings in any of them. He's seen his season ERA jump from 1.98 to 3.02 during that time. He’ll try to turn the tide next week against the White Sox.
White Sox' Giolito allows one run in no-decision vs. Rays
Lucas Giolito was charged with one run over seven-plus innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Friday. He struck out six. Giolito held the Rays scoreless over the first seven innings while allowing just one hit and three walks, but he was pulled after giving up a leadoff double to Daniel Robertson in the eighth. Jace Fry would allow an inherited runner to score before Juan Minaya gave up the game-tying run later on in the frame. The White Sox would eventually win the game in 10 innings. While Giolito deserved better, it was still encouraging performance. He’s now allowed three earned runs or fewer in three out of his last four starts. His ERA stands at 5.97, the first time it has been under 6.00 since April 12.
MLB Betting Trends

The White Sox have won all four of Giolito's last four starts.
Prediction:
Both games in this series went under and with Severino on the mound tonight for New York, I see this one falling under as well. In the last five meetings between these two teams, the under is 4-1. In the last five meetings between these two teams in Chicago, the under is also 4-1. The under is 36-14-2 in Mike Estrabrook's last 52 games behind home plate, is 4-1 in the White Sox' last five games, and is 35-17-4 in the Yankees' last 56 games overall.
The Pick: Yankees/White Sox under 8.5
