Acuna Jr., Freeman homer in win

Solo home runs by Ronald Acuna Jr. and Freddie Freeman helped propel the Braves to a 5-3 win at home last night over the Marlins. Both hitters ended the game 1-for-4. Tyler Flowers was 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs. Johan Comargo was 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run and an RBI. Julio Teheran gave up three earned runs on four hits with four strikeouts and four walks over five innings to pick up the win. A.J. Minter threw the ninth inning, giving up one hit with two strikeouts to pick up his sixth save.

Anderson leads way for Marlins

Brian Anderson only had one hit in five at-bats last night, but made it count as he hit a 2-run homer. Derek Dietrich finished 1-for-3 with two walks and two runs from the leadoff spot. Starlin Castro and Martin Prado both went 2-for-4. Wei-Yin Chen took the loss as he gave up five earned runs on five hits with one strikeout and three walks over five innings.

Dan Straily (4-4, 4.07 ERA) will take the mound for Miami today, while Kolby Allard (0-0, 0.00) will make his MLB debut for Atlanta.

MLB Betting Trends

The over is 6-2 in the last eight Marlins games following a loss. The over is 40-19-3 in the last 62 meetings.

The over is 6-2 in the last eight Braves games on Tuesdays. Atlanta is 0-4 in its last four Tuesday games.

Atlanta is familiar with what Straily has to offer, while Allard is a top prospect for the Braves and the Marlins won't have as good of a read on the left. Combined with being at home, Atlanta should be the right bet to make here.
