San Francisco Giants Fantasy Spin
Mike Yastrzemski went 4-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored to help lead the Giants to a 7-6 win over the Padres on Sunday. Yastrzemski got the day started by yanking a two-run double into the right field corner in the second inning, and his second double of the game hit off the base of the wall in right-center field. His next two hits were of the dying quail variety, one to right field and one to left-center, but they all look the same in the box score. The 28-year-old is as good a poster boy as any for the Giants' unlikely contention in 2019, as he has come out of virtually nowhere to be a key cog in the team that's presently just 2.5 games out of a Wild Card spot. Through Sunday, Yastrzemski is hitting .275/.322/.505 with nine homers and 31 RBI in 54 games this year.
Philadelphia Phillies Fantasy Spin
Rhys Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Braves. The Phillies rolled out to a 6-0 lead before the Braves closed the gap with a four-run seventh inning. There would be no wilting, though, as Hoskins proceeded to bop a two-run home run in the eighth inning to give his crew some breathing room. Overall this season, the 26-year-old slugger is slashing .260/.397/.520 with 22 home runs and 66 RBI across 369 at-bats.
MLB Betting Trends
San Francisco
The Giants are winless in their last six games played at Citizens Bank Park.
Philadelphia
The Phillies are 10-4 in their last 14 games when their opponent allows five runs or more in their previous game.
Prediction:
The Giants are 20-6 in their last 26 games overall, are 8-3 in their last 11 games coming off a win and are 13-3 in their last 16 road games. They have also been profitable when Tyler Beede pitches, winning six of his last eight starts and four straight when he pitches on the road. On the other side, the Phillies have dropped seven of their last 10 games coming off a win and are 5-11 in their last 16 home games versus an opponent with a winning record.
