Marlins vs. Braves Prediction
The Atlanta Braves were one out away from completing a no-hitter in yesterday's win as they avoided being swept at home in a four-game series. Can Atlanta win another game at home tonight as it begins a series with the Miami Marlins?

Marlins split at home with Nats
Miami won the final two games of its four-game series versus the Nationals over the weekend, taking Sunday's series finale by a count of 5-0. Jose Urena threw six one-hit innings to pick up the win, striking out five and walking four. Brian Anderson helped pace the offense by going 2-for-3 with two runs. Martin Prado was 2-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBIs. Miguel Rojas finished 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI.
Newcomb one out from no-hitter
Sean Newcomb had a no-hitter with two outs in the ninth inning Sunday before it was broken up by Chris Taylor. Newcomb departed the game and the inherited run would score on Dan Winkler before Atlanta closed out the 4-1 victory. Newcomb's final line was one earned run on one hit with eight strikeouts and one walk over 8 2/3 innings. He threw 134 pitches. Freddie Freeman finished the contest 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Nick Markakis was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and three RBIs. Ender Inciarte went 2-for-4 with a double.
Wei-Yin Chen (3-7, 5.65 ERA) will start today for the Marlins, while Julio Teheran (7-7, 4.42) gets the call for the Braves.
MLB Betting Trends
Miami
The Marlins are 2-7 in Chen's last nine road starts. Miami is 6-2 in its last eight games versus Teheran.
Atlanta
The Braves are 3-8 in their last 11 home games. Atlanta is 8-3 in Teheran's last 11 home starts.
Prediction:
Atlanta righted the ship with yesterday's exciting game and in staying at home, it is set up to start this series off well. My only issue is that I can't trust Teheran, especially with his struggles against Miami. I'm instead going to take the over as I can't see Chen slowing down the Braves offense. Expect a lot of runs here.
