Puig returns with a bang

Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig came off the disabled list to have a big night at the plate as he finished 1-for-2 with a home run, a walk, two runs and three RBIs in a 5-1 win. Chris Taylor went 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI from the leadoff spot. Manny Machado was 2-for-3 with two walks and an RBI. Austin Barnes was 0-for-2 with two walks and a run. Alex Wood threw 5 2/3 innings of shutout baseball to earn the win, giving up only one hit with five strikeouts and four walks.

Camargo homers in defeat

Braves third baseman Johan Camargo was 1-for-4 with a solo homer Saturday that provided the hosts' only run. Tyler Flowers was 0-for-2, but reached base twice on two walks. Max Fried took the loss as he gave up one earned run on two hits with seven strikeouts and three walks over five innings.

Ross Stripling (8-2, 2.43 ERA) gets the call for LA today, while Atlanta turns to Sean Newcomb (9-5, 3.41).

Prediction:

Los Angeles has been rolling since adding Machado to the mix and is rightfully favored here. Stripling has had a strong season and that shouldn't change here against a struggling Braves offense. Meanwhile, Newcomb has struggled with consistency the last couple of months. I can't go against the Dodgers to complete the sweep.
