Gio Urshela went 4-for-4 with a homer, double and two RBI on Saturday in a loss to the Red Sox. An outstanding game for Urshela, and it included his 11th homer of the season when he took Eduardo Rodriguez deep and tied the game at 1-1 in the second inning. It's not that Urshela was a complete unknown, but to say he's exceeded expectations is an understatement; assuming you didn't expect a career .251 hitter to hit .306/.352/.507 with 48 RBI in 85 games, that is.

Boston Red Sox Fantasy Spin

J.D. Martinez went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer on Saturday in a win over the Yankees. The homer was a two-run shot for Martinez, and it came off of CC Sabathia to give him 22 homers on the year. The 31-year-old has started swing the bat much better as of late, and with back-to-back games with homers, he's now slugging .538 to go along with a .294 average and .365 on-base percentage. Martinez was briefly the subject of trade rumors, but that's not going to happen, now.

On the other side, the Yankees are 80-37 in their last 117 games following a loss and are 10-1 in German’s last 11 starts versus a divisional rival.
