Twins roll again

Minnesota has won the first two games in this series by a combined score of 16-5 to get itself back on track after losses to the Yankees and Athletics. The Twins are 63-40 on the season, 32-19 on the road and 51-46 with the over. Martin Perez gets the start for the Twins this evening. He is 8-3 on the season with a 4.37 ERA.

Minnesota put up five runs in the second inning of Friday’s game and never looked back. Max Kepler hit a three-run home run during the scoring surge to lead the way, his 27th of the season. Nelson Cruz also homered in the game, his 26th of the season. Michael Pineda was able to settle in on the mound, throwing seven innings while giving up two runs on six hits. He is now 7-5 on the season.

White Sox lose fourth straight

Chicago is now riding a four-game losing streak after the Sox lost 6-2 to the Twins at home last night. Chicago is 45-56 overall, 26-24 at home and 50-48 with the under. Ivan Nova is getting the start for the White Sox tonight. He is 5-9 on the season with a 5.49 ERA.

Dylan Cease took the loss for Chicago on Friday night. He gave up five runs over five innings on seven hits to fall to 1-3 on the year. Adam Engel drove in both runs on a two-run home run for the White Sox while Jon Jay and Leury Garcia each had two hits to lead Chicago at the plate.

MLB Betting Trends

Minnesota

The Twins have lost three straight Game 3’s of a series, but are 16-5 in their last 21 Saturday games.

Chicago

The White Sox are just 3-13 in their last 16 games on grass and 2-9 in their last 11 games following a loss.

Prediction:

Nova is coming off a surprising complete-game win over the Marlins last week, but he hasn’t been able to produce a lot of great results this year. He gave up four runs in six innings against the Twins earlier this year and has an ERA over 6.00 at home this season. Perez has had some shaky starts as well as of late, but he faces a struggling Chicago lineup tonight. Perez hasn’t faced the Sox this year, but this could be just what he needs to get himself on track.

MLB Prediction: Minnesota Twins -175
