Brewers unable to complete sweep

Milwaukee won the first two games of its three-game series at home versus Washington, but dropped Wednesday's finale by a count of 7-3. Christian Yelich went 2-for-4 and scored a run to help pace the Brewers offense. Hernan Perez entered the game as a reserve and hit a 3-run homer in his only at-bat. Freddy Peralta suffered the loss as he allowed seven earned runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and four walks over six innings.

Giants split two-game series at Seattle

After tying the game at 2-2 in the top of the seventh inning with a pair of runs Tuesday, San Francisco allowed a run in the eighth and fell 3-2 at Seattle. The Giants had won the first game in the series by a score of 4-3. Brandon Crawford helped lead the Giants offense by going 1-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI. Hunter Pence finished 1-for-3 with an RBI double. Tony Watson took the loss in relief as he gave up one earned run on no hits with one walk in one-third of an inning.

Wade Miley (1-1, 1.56 ERA) draws the start today for the Brewers, while Dereck Rodriguez (5-1, 2.72) gets the call for San Francisco.

MLB Betting Trends

Milwaukee

The Brewers are 3-9 in their last 12 overall. Milwaukee is 7-19 in the last 26 meetings.

San Francisco

The Giants are 19-9 in their last 28 home games. The under is 18-7-1 in the last 26 San Francisco games overall.

Prediction:

With San Francisco playing so well at home lately and Milwaukee struggling prior to its home series against Washington, I'm comfortable betting on the Giants here. Rodriguez has shown to be a good pitcher at the MLB level so far, while Miley has had more downs than ups lately in his career. Milwaukee is not nearly as good of a team away from home and that also should factor into this bet.
