O's fall in afternoon finale

Baltimore lost by a score of 5-2 Wednesday afternoon in its series finale at Arizona to drop to 32-69 overall and 17-33 on the road. Trey Mancini helped lead the Orioles offensively as he finished 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Anthony Santander ended the contest 2-for-5 with a double, a run and an RBI. Dwight Smith Jr. went 2-for-4. John Means took the loss as he allowed three earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts and three walks over 3 1/3 innings. Jimmy Yacabonis draws the start today for Baltimore as he enters with a 1-2 record, 6.95 ERA and 1.69 WHIP with 29 strikeouts over 33 2/3 innings.

Angels sweep Dodgers

Los Angeles won both games at the Dodgers including Wednesday night's 3-2 triumph to improve to 54-49 overall and 27-26 on the road. Kole Calhoun paced the offensive effort as he finished 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and two RBIs. David Fletcher was 2-for-4 with a run scored. Mike Trout ended the game 0-for-2 with a walk, a run and an RBI. Jaime Barria picked up the win as he gave up one earned run on three hits with three strikeouts and two walks over five innings. Hansel Robles threw a perfect ninth inning for his 16th save. MLB Betting Trends

Baltimore

The Orioles are 19-47 in their last 66 games overall. Baltimore is 6-20 in its last 26 games overall.

Los Angeles

The Angeles are 7-1 in their last eight series openers. Los Angeles is 5-2 in its last seven home games.

Prediction:

While Suarez isn't a sure thing on the mound, he does possess a good strikeout rate and will be facing a weak Orioles lineup. He also should get plenty of run support from an Angels lineup that should get to Yacabonis plus the Baltimore bullpen early and often. Take LA with confidence tonight and consider the runline bet.
