Los Angeles Angels Fantasy Spin
Mike Trout launched a solo homer to power the Angels to a narrow 5-4 victory over the Dodgers in the opener of the two-game Freeway Series on Tuesday. Trout clobbered a titanic go-ahead solo shot to left field -- his 33rd round-tripper of the season -- off Dodgers starter Kenta Maeda in the fifth inning. It was his lone hit in five at-bats. The 27-year-old five-category fantasy superstar has been an absolute monster, going deep 11 times in 14 games since July 2. He’s hitting .298/.445/.666 with 78 runs scored, 80 RBI and eight stolen bases in 425 plate appearances.
Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Spin
Corey Seager went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in the Dodgers’ loss to the Angels on Tuesday. Seager delivered a game-tying sacrifice fly in the fourth inning. He also singled in the second and sixth innings, respectively, to notch his third multi-hit effort since coming off the injured list after the All-Star break. The 25-year-old shortstop owns a .276/.355/.447 triple-slash line with eight homers in 313 plate appearances. If he can stay healthy, he should be in line for a big second half.
